What is a Career Fair and why should I attend?
Career Fairs are a place to find jobs and internships. This event offers you the chance to network with employers and explore a position or organization that you had not previously considered. These employers travel to Oregon State University just to see you. Take advantage of this opportunity to get started on your career!

Preparing for the Career Fairs - learn about what to do before, during, and after the fair to make it a success.

Career Fair Tip of the Day - check out these quick videos with tips to be successful at the Career Fair.

Career Seminars - attend these seminars given by actual employers to find out about career related topics such as resume writing, personal branding, interviewing, how to find hidden jobs, and more! These will definitely help you get ready for the Career Fairs.

Drop-In Resume Feedback - as usual, we offer Drop-In Resume Feedback Monday-Thursday, 1-4pm in Career Services.

If you have any questions about Career Fairs, please visit us in Career Services (Basement of Kerr Administration Building, B008) or call us at 541-737-4085.

What students have to say about OSU Career Fairs:

"It is because of the Fall 2012 Career Fair that I made the connection with Target and got my foot in the door! I was able to shake hands with one of the people who ended up being on the interviewing team for my internship. Having that initial face-to-face interaction was extremely beneficial and gave me a step up that the other intern candidates may not have had." - Kellie Trafton (2012 Fall Career Fair)

"I found out about an internship with Boeing through the OSU Fall Career Fair in 2011. I was a sophomore in Finance and a freshman in Engineering. I attended to justify my double major and see if there was a potential need for someone with my skill set in the workforce. I was not looking for a particular internship and was planning on going back home and work on a neighboring farm that summer." - Katie Merrill (doing a second internship summer 2013 with Boeing)

"I secured a few interviews for tomorrow. They are with companies I just learned about today and I set them up just by chatting with the recruiters." - Kevin (2012 Fall Career Fair)

"I have always wanted to work for the Department of Corrections and now it actually seems possible." - Allison (2012 Fall Career Fair)

"I wish I would have gone as an undergraduate. I would have had a lot more options when I graduated then. Next year should be my last year of graduate school so I will definitely be going to the job fairs each term. I was getting extra credit for a class this term, but I had a lot of interest in my resume and at least 6 different companies that showed an interest in me. The more options I have when I graduate, the more I can shop around for a company that will be right for me and fit into my future goals." - Grad Student (2011 Fall Career Fair)

"I landed an interview while at the Career Fair and due to the assistance of Career Services, I felt very prepared.  The Career Center staff is top notch and I will always remember the help they have given me." - Joshua Querl
